Monisha's Minute: Day 1 As Coach Minnie

Yesterday was my first day as a coach for Girls On The Run DFW. All I can type is woooooooow! I had so much fun!

Like any first day of a program, the afternoon started with a few minutes of awkward silence.  After we, the coaches, introduced ourselves we allowed the girls to give us a nickname. The girls named me Coach Minnie, LOL. After being christened with a new name by the girls we played an activity where they had to run to each other playing that Get To Know You Bingo game.

Here are some pictures from Day 1.

My fellow coaches are Deborah aka Coach DeDe and Imelda aka Coach Ice Cream. I still haven’t figured out how I got the name Coach Minnie. But I’m going to own it and roll with it.

All of our lessons build up to the culminating GOTR 5K on Saturday, April 28th. I already know I’m going to cry tears of joy.

Love, Peace, and Sweat,

Monisha R.

P.S. Don’t forget about my Book Signing this weekend at Jokae’s Bookstore on 3223 Camp Wisdom Dallas, TX from 12 noon to 2:00PM. I’d love to see you there!
