I know it seems a bit strange, but I’ve been putting strawberries on any and everything lately. My lunch of choice this week has been baby spinach with strawberries and homemade balsamic vinaigrette.
It’s soo good and healthy. The only down side is that it doesn’t fill you up that long. I’ve also been putting fresh strawberries in my greek yogurt which has no fat and is packed full of protein. It’s a great, light healthy snack. I’ve been enjoying strawberries as my desert and in addition to my usual breakfast of wheat toast, 2 eggs and turkey bacon. I’m one of those people that when I like something I have to have it over and over again until I’m sick of it. Like listening to the same song over and over again until you can’t stand it. Yea, I’m that annoying person…Anyways, if you like strawberries they are a great healthy little thing you can add to your diet. Just be sure to watch your overall sugar intake since fruit is a natural source of sugar. I’m not big on sweets so eating strawberries twice a day works for me. Take my tip and make it work for you.
