Best Shampoo For Any Texture

Nothing But Clarifying Shampoo – Many of us active chicks have raved for years about the Nothing But Clarifying Shampoo. This shampoo contains only honest ingredients that gently removes deep-down dirt, dissolves buildup and works for color-treated hair. This is my top pick for any hair texture (natural, permed, straight, curly etc.) When using this shampoo, a little bit goes a long way. I always recommend using an intensive deep conditioner immediately afterwards.  This shampoo is only $7.99!

Best Shampoo For Kinky and/or Dry Hair

Superfruit Renewal™ Clarifying Cream Shampoo – This is my first time using an Ouidad product and it didn’t disappoint. I love this shampoo and I’m now a huge fan of the line. This shampoo is perfect for swimmers who have naturally dry and/or kinky hair as it clarifies and moisturizes at the same time. Superfruit Renewal™ Clarifying Cream Shampoo is a gentle, sulfate-free cleanser that effectively removes product build-up and residue. Infused with a powerful, antioxidant-rich blend of concentrated whole superfruit acids—açai, blueberry, cranberry, papaya, and pomegranate— it detoxifies and rejuvenates dull, lifeless curls while banana extract immediately nourishes and replenishes moisture.  Cost – $18.00

Best Shampoos for Avid Swimmers

Moptop Clarifying Rescue Treatment  – Don’t let the small bottle fool you. A little bit goes a LONG way. This clarifying shampoo will completely remove chorine as well as  silicone, waxes and everyday pollutants that can build up. It’s designed to completely  restore your hair to its strong, natural state. I would use it very sparingly – once every 4 – 6 weeks maximum. It’s not for sale online but you can check them out on Naturally Curly and in Whole Foods.

Tip: Whenever using a clarifying shampoo always follow up with an intensive deep conditioning session.

Happy swimming!
