5 tips for retaining length and maintaining healthy hair for all hair types

Tip #1- Good diet , exercise and plenty of water helps stimulate your body and increase oxygen to your blood cells. This help your “live hair” become stronger until it is “dead.” Again, it starts from the inside out.

Tip #2– Long hair is DEAD and Old. It needs the most protection  from breakage. This is a reason to be extra careful with your ends

Tip #3 Consistency with your hair regimen is key. Trying new products every week and changing hair styles every day will cause your hair break off.  Keep it simple with a consistent routine.

Tip #4– Look at product labels and educate yourself.  Certain ingredients do not work for everyone.  Alex’s hair loves Castor oil, Whitney’s hair does not. Different textures and lengths have different needs. Educating yourself first with what’s in the product and how it affects your hair will undoubtedly help you retain healthy hair.

Tip #5 – Protect your hair and have fun with it! If you are consistently wearing low manipulation styles to protect your hair and retain length don’t forget to let your hair have some fun every once in a while. I mean it’s hair, not a job.
