5 Ways I'm Enjoying the Last Days of Summer

The fall season starts this year on September 22 which means we have less than 3 weeks left of summer! Check out how I plan to enjoy the little bit of summer we have left.

Finding New Seasonal Recipes: When the seasons change so does the availability of certain fruits and vegetables. Because of this, I tend to purchase a new cookbook or eating plan to help spice up my cooking for the new season. This year, I enrolled in FoodBabe.com’s monthly eating guide and I love it!

Socialize: Since many of my friends have been away working and traveling all summer, we were finally able to hang out and have girl talk!

Shopping:  A new season means new training plans and new gear. From organization supplies to cute fitness apparel, I purchased a variety of items to keep me in tip-top shape.  Target® has several great options.



Urban League Greater Dallas Young Professionals


Give Back: I often make sure to take a few personal development classes and also teach others through speaking sessions, panels and workshops. Whitney and I are speaking at the Urban League Young Professional Workshop in September. For more information and tickets, please click here.

Detox and Cleanse: I love saying goodbye to the old season by taking a few days off to clean and organize the house. Once the house is clean, I detox my body with the Dr. Oz cleanse and an intensive sauna session. Remember, relaxation is critical to training.
