When attending a dinner meeting, I’m frequently asked how I look so refreshed after coming from the gym. I wanted to share a few tips:
When you don’t have time wash your hair completely, try blow drying your 50% of your hair and style as needed. Pay special attention to the front and allow it to air dry. Use bobby pins and cute scarves to keep for a cute, quick style. Here are a list of other workout haircare tips. If all else fails, remember, when in doubt- Wig It!
It is important to only apply makeup after washing your face. Try Say Yes to Cucumbers or Neutrogena facial towelettes for removing makeup and dirt from your face. After your face dries, try using tinted moisturizer as a substitute for foundation. Use a concealer stick and pat the concealer around under your eyes hid any puffiness. Use waterproof very black mascara, which will eliminate the need for a liner. Finally, dab a little tinted moisturizing lip balm (Example: Burt’s Bees) with a clear lip gloss on top to give your lips a pop of color and shine.
It is always a great idea to keep a small bag full of bobby pins, rubber bands and headbands. (If you purchase a Sporty Afros product, you can use the bags we put the products in.) Make sure to keep travel size bottles filled of your must have hair products such as gels, moisturizing sprays, oils and conditioners. Try keeping these in a travel tote or large plastic Ziploc bag. This will help keep the liquid safe from your clothes in case they accidentally spill.
