We Planned. We Trained. We Conquered! 13.1 Marathon

Sporty Afros ran in the inaugural 13.1 half marathon race in Dallas, Texas. Here are a few photos from our journey. Special thanks to Monisha, Mary and all of our friends and family members who came out to support us. Mary (our unofficial coach) surprised us at miles 3 and 6 and
jogged with us a bit.

Race bib is ready! I love how the gear check tag and beer ticket are attached so you can’t forget them.

The beginning and the end! This is a photo of the race lineup and finish line. I took this photo at 6:58am. It was dark!

Yikes! The bathroom line/crowd right before the race.

On the trail. Guns up! Texas Tech Love!
